Eglwys y Bedd, the Church of the Grave. Identified as 14th century, if fell into a ruin but the nave was restored in 1748 by the outstanding vicar, The Rev. Thomas Ellis.
It later became the first school in Holyhead, providing a basic education to the boys and girls of the parish. The Chancel ruins were cleared in 1810 to allow a straight path to the main church. The original chancel arch is still visible on the gable end. Serigi, the Irish chief killed by Caswallon Law Hir, founder of the dynasty of Welsh Princes was said to be buried here in 450 AD
