The
'Friends' is a Society dedicated to promoting the religious,
historical and cultural heritage of St. Cybi's Church
within the Roman Fort at Holyhead. It plans to raise
its profile both within the locality and further afield.
A prime purpose is to help support and maintain the
fabric of a keynote building and to promote it as a
worthwhile and important tourist destination. Another
aim is to strengthen the relationship between the Parish
Church and the surrounding area. |
 |
It
is not part of the Church Organisations. All who are
interested in our aims are invited to join- there is
no need to be a member of the congregation.
All who love the heritage of Holyhead may well wish
to support the only central attraction to tourists within
the town. |
It
is possible to join as an annual single or family member
and a life or joint life member. As we desire the support
of groups and businesses there is provision for group
and business members. |
Contact
can be made to the Membership Secretary via Ty Cyfle,
65/72 Market Street, Holyhead. LL65 1 UW |
|
The
Society publishes a Newsletter and there is an Annual
General Meeting. Full details of the Constitution are
given on joining.
|
The present
Patron is the Rt. Hon. Thomas, Lord Stanley of Alderley.
