The
South Transept is dominated by the Stanley family pew with
its coats of arms painted onto the panel above. Somponents
of the arms, including those of the Owen family. The pews
of the Penrhos staff are in front.

The
memorial window by Hugh Easton is to the present Lord Stanley's
elder brothers, suffocated in a tragic sand digging accident
in 1947. Note Hugh Easton's mark of the weather vane in the
bottom corner. To the right of the high altar is another tragic
Stanley grave, that of Elfrida, four years old, drowned in a
bathing accident in 1817.
She was the Hon W.O. Stanley's sister. |
